Knockando Villa
Knockando at Round Hill is a wonderfully appointed private villa with an exceptional view once owned by the founder of Round Hill resort in Montogo Bay, The combination of warm wood and marble floors, in hues of pink, cream, grey and salmon, plus the addition of many lovely antiques and high ceilings give this home an old world feel. Freshly painted September 2014 and, for added comfort you will find new plush seating on the sofas and chairs on the veranda...
The large living room has parquet floors, cable TV / 7 new flat screen TV"s at the villa , new upgraded Internet connection throughout the villa, to include the veranda and pool terrace. The villa also has a DVD player. The Living room opens to the heart of the house ~ A 1,300 square foot veranda with generous seating area furnished in white canvas and over-sized bamboo sofas and chairs. The verandah has five cieling fans to keep all areas of the veranda nicely cooled. One end of your veranda has a bamboo wet bar with ice maker, fridge and cable TV. The opposite end has a wheelchair accessible bath and ramp to the pool terrace just below. Your cook with prepare meals and serve them al fresco on this verandah ... but there are three additional dining options that include the elegant dining room that has a fabulous ten foot mahogany pedestal table that can be set with Rosenthal, Minton or Royal Worcester china and sterling silver.
Included in the amenities at Knockando is complimentary ADSL Internet access for those who would like to bring their lap tops. (this is in four of the bedrooms) CD and DVD players with many movies for adults and children. Sound system with speakers in the living and dining room, the verandah and the exercise and pool areas ... the villa also has a deluxe Lynx grill.
There are a number of handicap ramps, 3 handicap baths and toilets, 1122 Jazzy electric wheelchair and electric Rascal transportation cart which can be used to go to the beach club at Round Hill. A complimentary crib, high chair, playpen and 2 strollers are also provided to guests.
Two complimentary four seater golf carts are provided at the villa for transport to the beach and around Round Hill.
In addition to the five bedrooms there is a charming child"s room at the villa ... it is just under the bedroom called Treetops - this child"s bedroom has bunk beds with side rails and 2 trundel beds along with lots of fun things for the children! TV with VCR, children"s video"s, toys and games, stuffed animals and a blackboard. There is also access from this room to the main part of the villa along with a stairway from the bedroom above.
Master Bedroom (650 square feet)
King size bed; walk-through dressing room with padded mahogany spindle crib; en-suite bathroom with bidet; large walk-in shower with double showerheads. Adjoins Middle Bedroom to create a convenient parent-child suite on request.
Middle Bedroom
2 queen size beds; en-suite bathroom with tub-shower combination. Dressing room has interior passage to Master Bedroom via door that may left open or locked in the night for privacy.
*Blue Room (400 square feet)
King size bed; en-suite bathroom with double-sink and wheelchair accessible, newly renovated zero-entry shower with bench. Interior hallway to small room with one twin bed for child,* nanny or other adult. Connecting pocket door may be left open or closed in the night. If occupied, bathroom is shared by all 3 guests.
Treetops
Queen size bed in romantic bedroom on very private upper level, parquet floor, walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom with open-air pink marble shower with sea view. Wraparound wood plank balcony. Gorgeous views on three sides.
The Cottage (400 square feet)
Freestanding building across the lawn. Queen size bed; sound system; desk; wet bar and fridge; wood plank floors and bookshelves. En-suite-bathroom, booster toilet with side rails, wheelchair accessible zero-entry shower and bench, Jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent accessible accommodation.
Olivia"s Tree house *
Down one flight of stairs and directly under Treetops (good upstairs-downstairs suite for parents and children). Fanciful playroom/bedroom beloved by children. Bunk beds with side rails; trundle beds for two more. Mounted flatscreen TV, DVD player children’s movies, stuffed animals, books, toys, games, blackboard, little sink and toilet. (Not really in a tree.) The entire property is child-friendly and has baby gates to limit unsupervised access to the pool area.
New outdoor shower on pool deck
US $100 cash for non-motorized water sports, compliments of the homeowner
Guests have complimentary use of the new Round Hill gym / $25. daily fee is paid for by the owner of Knockando.
